Bronchoscopy

Bronchoscopy is a medical procedure that involves examination of the air passages leading to the lungs. During a bronchoscopy, a thin, flexible camera called a bronchoscope is inserted through the nose or mouth, down the throat, and into the airways. Bronchoscopy allows for tissue and fluid samples, removing obstructions, or performing other therapeutic interventions. Bronchoscopy can be used in diagnosis of lung infections, tumors, or other pulmonary diseases.
