Dr. Galina Lyles

Dr. Galina Lyles is a devoted pulmonary specialist with expertise in both routine lung care and critical care settings. After graduating from the University of Virginia, Dr. Lyles completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Case Western University and returned to UVA to pursue a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care.

Her passion for lung health stems from a deep understanding of its vital role in a person’s overall well-being. Dr. Lyles is committed to enhancing her patient’s quality of life by improving their ability to breathe, which she believes positively impacts not only the individual but also their loved ones.

“Breathing influences every part of a person, every activity. If someone is struggling with their breathing and I can help them, then I’m positively impacting every part of their life, as well as the lives of their loved ones,” says Dr. Lyles.

At Virginia Lung, Dr. Lyles is excited about the clinic’s unique approach to patient care, which emphasizes quick and easy access for all patients.

“Our clinic is unique in that we can see first-time patients very quickly, as well as provide timely follow-up visits. Imaging and labs are just down the street, and pulmonary function tests are conducted in-office,” she said.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Lyles lives in Richmond with her husband and three small children. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, working out, and exploring local restaurants and vineyards.
