Dr. Jose Perez‑Lara is a compassionate, fellowship‑trained pulmonary and critical care specialist whose clinical experience spans internal medicine and advanced respiratory care. Dedicated to helping patients breathe easier and supporting them through complex lung conditions, Dr. Perez‑Lara brings more than a decade of focused expertise to the Richmond community.

Dr. Perez‑Lara earned his medical degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela, Escuela de Medicina Luis Razetti, in 2012. He completed his internal medicine residency at BronxCare Health System before pursuing fellowship training in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine.

Board‑certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, and critical care medicine, Dr. Perez‑Lara has extensive experience treating a wide range of respiratory conditions, including COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, and acute respiratory failure. His clinical approach emphasizes thorough evaluation, evidence‑based diagnostics, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver personalized treatment plans.
